Precision Athletics Fencing Club in Torrance is Southern California’s premier training center for Olympic-style foil fencing. Led by Coach Forrest MacDougall, a former Team USA international competitor and National Coach, we develop athletes from complete beginners to world championship competitors. Whether you’re picking up a foil for the first time or pursuing elite competition, you’ll train in a community built on excellence, respect, and proven results.
Fencing has a rich tradition of being practiced within clubs, not commercial gyms—and we honor that tradition. Being part of Precision Athletics means joining a community where athletes support each other, celebrate victories together, and grow both on and off the strip. You’re not a customer here—you’re part of a team with shared goals and mutual respect.
Precision Athletics welcomes fencers of all ages and goals. Our youth programs (ages 6+) emphasize fundamentals, safety, coordination, and confidence-building in a fun, supportive environment. Teen and adult programs focus on athletic performance, tactical growth, and competitive readiness. We also welcome adult recreational fencers looking for fitness, mental challenge, and community. All classes are co-ed, and athletes train together in a professional, respectful atmosphere.
At Precision Athletics, advancement is earned through dedication, consistency, and professionalism. As athletes progress from beginner to intermediate to advanced levels, training expectations increase—including private lessons, tournament participation, and competitive commitment. This structured approach ensures every athlete receives instruction aligned with their goals while maintaining the high standards that define our club.

Precision Athletics is an official member club of USA Fencing, the national governing body for the sport in the United States. This means our athletes compete within the official competitive framework, earn nationally recognized ratings and rankings, and train in a regulated, safe environment. We maintain the highest standards of coaching, safety, and professionalism.

Our coaches have competed and coached at the highest levels of the sport, including international competitions and World Championships. Every athlete receives expert instruction focused on building strong fundamentals, tactical intelligence, and competitive confidence. All coaches are CPR and First Aid certified.

Our students compete—and win—at local, regional, national, and international tournaments. Our athletes have earned medals at international competitions, competed at World Championships, and pursued NCAA recruitment at top universities. We build complete athletes who demonstrate discipline, accountability, and commitment.

We specialize exclusively in Olympic-style foil fencing. This focused approach allows us to deliver deeper technical knowledge and competitive preparation than clubs that teach multiple weapons. We teach fencing as a true sport—emphasizing real competition, strategy, and athletic performance.
