At Precision Athletics, our coaching team brings world-class competitive and coaching experience to every lesson. Led by Forrest MacDougall—a Team USA National Coach since 2017 who has guided American foil squads to medal victories at Cadet/Junior Pan American Championships and World Cups—our staff includes NCAA Division-I captain Konami Masui and international champion Roman Meleshko. All coaches are professionally certified, CPR and First Aid trained, and experienced national-level referees committed to developing athletes from first lesson to elite competition.

Forrest MacDougall has been involved in the sport of fencing for over two decades, having started when he was only eight years old. He is a professionally accredited coach, holding the title “Prévôt de Fleuret,” certified by the United States Fencing Coaches Association and the Académie Internationale d’Armes.
As a competitor, Forrest was one of the top fencers in the country, medaling numerous times at North American Cups and National Championships. He also competed at Senior World Cups and Grand Prix events while representing Team USA.
Transitioning his expertise to coaching, Forrest has achieved consistent success with his own athletes. His personal students have recently medaled at regional, national, and international competitions. This track record led to his appointment as a designated National Coach for Team USA, a role he has served in every season since 2017. He has led American foil squads to extensive medal victories at major international events, including the Cadet/Junior Pan American Championships and various World Cups.
In addition to coaching, Coach MacDougall is a highly rated referee in the United States and has officiated finals at various levels of national and international events.

Born and raised in Torrance, Konami Masui has been a dedicated figure in the sport of fencing for over 16 years. As a competitive athlete, she found success among the top fencers in the nation, earning multiple medals and awards. She attended the University of California, San Diego on scholarship, where she served as captain of their NCAA Division-I team.
Konami is a two-time NCAA Championship qualifier, representing UCSD in the 2018 and 2021 National Championships. During her collegiate career, she also worked to broaden the sport’s visibility, serving on the university’s Athletic Council and rising to the executive role of Head of the Social Committee.
As a coach, Konami has worked closely with regional tournament champions and national medalists, guiding students to victories and podium finishes from the local to the national level. When she is not coaching, she continues to serve the fencing community as a qualified referee, officiating at the highest national level.

Roman Meleshko brings a distinguished level of international expertise to the coaching staff at Precision Athletics Fencing Club. A native of Ukraine, Roman began his competitive career at the age of five, securing numerous tournament victories overseas before bringing his talents to the United States at the age of 16.
As a coach, Roman has rapidly established a reputation for excellence in athlete development. He has worked extensively with competitive fencers, guiding students who have recently achieved podium finishes at both the regional and national levels.
His coaching philosophy combines rigorous technical precision with modern physical performance training. Roman is dedicated to the holistic growth of his athletes, using the sport to instill the discipline, focus, and strategic thinking necessary to succeed both on the strip and in life.
